Stella Strzyzowska Guillen is a Miami native, born July 27, 1992. She is of Polish-American Decent, raised in a Cuban-American family. She studied painting and drawing at Florida State University and graduated with a BFA in studio art. She was a student of and studied under Carrie Ann Baade whom received training in materials and techniques, specifically the mishe technique. In the past two years, she has discovered her developing art making process and style. Along with major life events, she found Kundalini Yoga in 2014 and has since taken up to a daily yoga practice which is vital to prime painting sessions. She has performed various live painting events solo and in collaboration with artist Jordan Aman, and intends to expand her performance art career targeting Festivals and everything in between. Stella is part of an art collective, the “Art Nunz” which is a group of artists who have taken vows to committing their lives to art, to leave the mainstream and live their life in their studio. “In this way, the nuns have developed their orthopraxy of praying ceaselessly through making. Stella currently lives in Miami, Florida where she seeks to integrate into the art scene along with opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.
